Alex Pall was born in the year 1985 in the Westchester region of New York. Most of his young life was spent in the Bedford region where he was brought up. Being the son of an art dealer, he developed a keen eye for art and some passion as well. As a child, Alex Pall went through a period in which he suffered from ADHD. So he spent most of his childhood on medication. He, however, managed to beat the disorder. Alex Pall was enrolled in Masters School where he got his high school diploma and then joined the University of New York where he majored in the courses of Business and History. After campus, he took advantage of his father’s connections and began working in art galleries in New York and Manhattan as well.

Alex Pall’s musical career

While working in the art galleries, Alex Pall did DJing as a part-time gig under the management of Adam Lambert. It was in the year 2009 that his manager put him together with a friend to start a band. Unfortunately, the friend quit after a short time, leading the manager to start a search for his replacement. This is when Andrew Taggart was introduced to him in the year 2012 and they immediately clicked. The two started making music for indie bands before they got a chance to create their own original music. In the year 2014, the two who were now known as the Chainsmokers introduced their sound to the world as an EDM Band with their debut single called Selfie. Selfie was a massive hit and it did not take long for Alex and his partner top gain international recognition. Selfie was followed by the single Roses which were a huge commercial success and the two singles Don’t Let Me Down and Closer which all made it to the top of the Electronic Dance Music Chats.

The Chainsmokers released their debut album in the month of April in the year 2017. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard Charts and was able to achieve a platinum certification for selling more than a million copies.
